Our UnPaving Paradise re-greening benefit show, next Saturday evening, 4 June, will raise funds to help restore part of a neglected bitumen expanse in your Park Lands.

Don't delay booking for the show. The venue, Diverse-City, has a capacity of only 70, and it's likely to be sold out before Saturday. Book here.

2. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX ON AQUATIC CENTRE

The State Government is being urged to consider a wide range of near-city sites for a new Aquatic Centre.

By thinking outside the box (i.e. outside your Park Lands) there's potential for a win-win: with a new Aquatic Centre in the inner north, and full restoration of the current Park Lands site.

There’s a lot to like about the Council’s proposed budget; but there’s also two serious Park Lands omissions - which you can rectify with a single response before Monday 6 June.

4. NEW PATCH FEEDS BELONGING

A new veggie patch in the Adelaide Botanic Garden is helping new migrants lay roots in the community.

Participants engage in “a powerful process of place-making, connection and belonging” by growing culturally significant food plants within the Botanic Garden's "Kitchen Garden".

One of the regular events that we promote in the "What's On" segment of this newsletter is the weekly Park Run - held every Saturday starting from two different locations in your Open Green Public Adelaide Park Lands.

12. LEASING AND LICENSING POLICY

The City of Adelaide is proposing to tweak its policy on how it grants leases or licences over parts of your Open Green Public Park Lands.

This is the legal framework which the Council proposes to follow when it allows some parts of your Park Lands to be closed off to you.
