1. ART PRIZE 2023 - ENTRIES NOW OPEN

Entries have opened for the biennial Art Prize that supports your Open Green Public Adelaide Park Lands.

The $50,000 Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize is an invitation to artists who can “INSPIRE” and “capture the essence of one or more elements of the Adelaide Park Lands”.

2. NO ASSURANCES ON TREE DESTRUCTION

The State Government has offered no assurances about protecting your Park Lands trees when deciding where to build a new Adelaide Aquatic Centre.

An overwhelming number of 682 survey respondents have urged the Government not to chop down dozens of trees but instead, pursue a win-win by choosing a brownfield site in an inner-city suburb for its promised new $82 million Aquatic Centre.

But we are only as strong as our members. To be effective at these strategies, we need YOUR support.

8. ZOO ESCAPEE RECAPTURED

Adelaide zookeepers are relieved after recapturing Ravi, a red panda who escaped from the zoo two days earlier.

Ravi, an expert climber (and endangered species in the wild), was found not far from the Zoo in Botanic Park in your Adelaide Park Lands

11. RESTORING AN EROSION GULLY

The City of Adelaide has acted to remediate an erosion gully and improve water quality in Botanic Creek through King Rodney Park / Ityamai-itpina (Park 15).

The project costing around $240,000 has been completed without impacting the historic 1870's olive groves.
