“Plant to Protect” - to show how many people have signed up for a win-win: demanding both a new Aquatic Centre on a brownfield site; and to fully protect this Park.

3. TOTALLY WILD

4. PEDAL PRIX AT PAKAPAKANTHI

Rain and strong winds did not deter contestants in the recent Human Powered Vehicle races in your Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16).

Community groups and school teams battled it out on the track to see who could cover the greatest distance in the six-hour time limit.

We are a grassroots community organisation. We Explore, Inspire, Protect, and Restore.

But we are only as strong as our Members and our Volunteers.

You are receiving the non-members version of this newsletter which means you're not (yet) a Member of our team.

Will you help us?

There are two ways to do that: as a Member, or as a Volunteer (or both!)

6.SAVING MIRNU WIRRA - THE AFTERMATH

Moves are under way in State Parliament to reduce the risk of any future State Government seizing any part of your Park Lands for new Police barracks.

Meanwhile, two Adelaide Uni students have expanded the public catalogue of biodiversity in your Golden Wattle Park / Mirnu Wirra (Park 21 W).

7.EARLY BOOST FOR 2025 PARK LANDS ART PRIZE

The City of Adelaide has become the first major sponsor to recommit to the Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize, by including a renewed $15,000 sponsorship in its 2023-24 budget.
